Save Small Towns from Destruction
Save Small Towns from Destruction
The Issue
Saving Small Towns is very important for multiple reasons. Small towns around the United States usually consist of an immense amount of land, which usually contains forests or even farm lands. Without these small towns, trees and land are going to disappear leaving the environment to not only suffer but some day disappear completely. There will no longer be land to build upon nor wood to fuel the companies. By having these big companies coming into the small towns now, it will only push the process of destruction. Without a doubt there is a need to keep the communities alive; small towns are an escape. The communities welcome visitors in to explore the land. They allow someone to get away from the busy city to relax and enjoy the friendliness of the community. In other words, it allows a different feeling of isolation but at the same time peace, one cannot find in a large city. Some of the communities can even date back to when the Pilgrims first arrived in America, such as the town of Assonet, Massachusetts. These original settlements contain the history of our ancestors, which big companies do not care about and only care about what the new store will look like. By wiping out small towns it destroys land, forests, and history. Consequently, people can see this industrialization as a terrible idea.
