As some of you already know The Bright Beginnings Program in Kankakee, IL is in jeopardy of being cut next year.. school year 2011-2012. The School Board voted to not accept the grant if we receive it next year because they have not received payment for the 2010-2011 school years grant. The district voted to cut the program if the money is not received before the school year starts. This means there will be NO PRESCHOOL next year if this happens. WE NEED HELP!!! please Call,Write,or email all of the state of Illinois senators,representatives,and Governor Quinn to persuade them to pay this debt and not leave ALL these children behind. Tell everyone to help. It would be a tragedy to let all these children down by not letting them receive and early start on their education.. it makes a major difference in their lives to have this program prepare them for Kindergarten and the rest of their schooling growing up.. think of all the children who do not receive the help on learning that they need because their parents work to much to try to survive in today's society with the cost of living to sit and teach them all the thing they need to know. or the children who's parents unfortunetly just do not care. It would be a huge mistake to take this away from them and i truly hope that everyone will sign this petition in hope that all Illinois government sees it and takes some action to correct this tragedy.
