Save Our Parks in NYS, Don't let Them Close by David Paterson's Budget Cuts
The Issue
NYS is in a budget crisis and Governor David Paterson is Cutting Funds to our Parks and potentially 41 will close others will face major cuts, This is Unacceptable you as government officals need to act to prevent this from happening.
Lawrence DecostePetition StarterHi my name is Larry Decoste I am from Albany ny I am 30 yrs old I am a proud Gay American. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 4 yrs going on 5 yrs. I am an environmental advocate and Civil Rights activist, I also do volunteer work.
I have been given a second chance at life getting a heart transplant this past August 28, 2008, I am so happy that I had medicaid and medicare to pay for my expenses some people are less fortunate. I suffered for 4 yrs being ill with viral myocarditis weaking of the heart muscle and CHF.
I enjoy cooking and enjoy the outdoors. Someday I hope to work in a green job like EPA or Park Ranger. I am so for the environment I think more people need to think about what they can do to help, It's vital for our survival on this planet.
