The State of Florida wants to take 17 Acres of Honeymoon Island State Park and pave it for 45 RV Camp sites. This means: Destruction of up to 17 acres of coastal strand and maritime hammock vegetation, Letting a Private for PROFIT Company operate the RV Campground on OUR Public Land that we have trusted the State to Preserve for us, Expanding more pavement for new roads, parking lots and RV pads for the campground that currently is home to Preserved Wildlife Land, Installing connections for water and electrical service, wastewater disposal and other ammenities, like a GAS STATION!  Most of the Acreage they say Honeymoon Island has is actually under water in the ocean...sneaky move...so the IMPACT will be much GREATER then they are publicizing.
