Save Austin's Historic Properties!

Save Austin's Historic Properties!

The Issue

Saving Austin formed to support the ongoing efforts to protect Austin’s historic character. Saving Austin believes that historic preservation must remain a core tenet of urban planning so future generations may better understand Austin’s history and development.

Currently, local governmental entities such as the City of Austin, Travis County, Austin ISD and the Austin Community College are considering an overhaul on local policies that could potentially jeopardize the protection, promotion and restoration of historic structures.

If you want your voice heard on the importance of having a viable preservation program in our community, with continued participation by our local governments, please sign this petition and let our local elected officials know that we value the historic preservation programs.
