We are a team of parents, administrators and educators working toward establishing a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds for the Saugus Union School District.

FACTS:
• The Saugus Union School District is the lowest funded district in all of Los Angeles County.
• It's proposed that over 80 teachers, administrators and staff will lose their jobs for the 2012/2013 school year.
• Those job losses only make up one third of the expected budget cuts. Critical programs, supplies and more are also expected to be cut.
• A proposed parcel tax would not be in place in time to help the 2012/2013 school year.

This proposed Saugus Union School District Education Foundation would raise funds to prevent our classrooms from even more overcrowding, save jobs, and support important programs, as well as pay for supplies and other critical needs not covered by our tax dollars.
