Save the Water Man Center
Save the Water Man Center
The Issue
We the citizens, and registered voters of the City of San Diego need to convince our City Council that funding the Waterman Center in the amount of $100,000 per year and continuing to allow it to lease the formerly abondoned building for $1 per year is essential for serving the greater needs of all of the City of San Diego.
It is more cost efficient. It utilizes abandoned buildings while keeping the streets clean. The Waterman Center serves a vital need for the city of San Diego and its homeless citizens. By providing a safe, dry place to store their last worldly possession it allows them the time to obtain ID and get involved in the government programs that help them transition from homeless back into normal life.
Remember that homeless people have all the same rights and opportunities we all take for granted on a daily basis.
