forgiving student loans for former students who have become sick and for reason beyond their control are unable to work, making paying back the loan almost impossible.  My daughter Tia Marie has been a hard working, outstanding student, graduating near the top of her class with a Bachlors degree in Science while holding down a full time job like many others in this country.  During her last semseter of school  she got sick and lost most of her hearing due to Meinere's disease, a disease that cause extreme bouts of vertigo, tinniutis, and severe hearing lost. While all this was happening she put on  her beautiful smile and continued going to work and school. through no fault of her own she has lost her job, her ability to drive or be alone.  Answering the phone is a challenge. For this wonderful 26 year woman her life is forever changed.. Even though the State and Chase bank  have been understanding and helped her by forgiving some of her debt Sallie Mae is firm in the belief that even though Tia Marie is too sick to hold her job with any steady income she is not given any break in paying back her student loan.. one person even saying she should have just quit school it would have looked better on paper.

Please help me in letting Sallie Mae know that helping out those in need is a good thing and people who for reasons beyond their control should be allowed to waive payment or forgiven the loan if the circumstances are there... Sallie Mae was bailed out by my federal goverment and now they need to step up and help us.
