Passing laws that forbid the use of electronic equipment while driving
Safe Driving Law
Dear Representative
In order to make streets and highways safe for both drivers and pedestrians, it is incumbent on this country to pass, and enforce, laws that forbid drivers from using any electronic equipment that requires a vocal or written answer. This would include, but not be limited to, talking on cell phones, texting, faxing, using computers to access information, and communicating with anyone not in the same car as the driver. It has been scientifically proven that participating in these activities reduces the driver's concentration to that of a person under the influence of alcohol. Altogether too many people have been injured and killed by drivers who are sure that they are able to maintain control of a vehicle when they are NOT!
