RUN, WALK, OR ROLL WITH US!
RUN, WALK, OR ROLL WITH US!
The Issue
A dynamic bond was established in the fall of 2008. The Williams family, mourning and remembering friends lost to AIDS, decided to do something to honor the fallen and celebrate the living. The end result: Food for Life Network (FFLN) AIDS Marathon/Half-Marathon Fundraiser, which benefits Food for Life Network, Inc.
How marvelous that from pain, love, and compassion an organization with two simple but noble missions: raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and feed the starving and malnourished adults and children living with HIV/AIDS in Miami-Dade County. The Williams family selected Food for Life Network because, since in 1987, they have done just that: provided and delivered over 1.5 million meals. The best part about Food for Life Network is that clients don't pay one penny for the services provided. In other words, FFLN embodies the spirit and practice of giving.
But we can't do this alone. We need your donations, your volunteerism, and your support as we prepare for our big event!
DONATIONS
$40.00 feeds one homebound client for a week OR
$40.00 provides 21 meals for one food bank client
The larger the donation, the greater good we can do
This is because FFLN, Inc. provides other services in addition to its meals on wheels program. For example, all of our clients have access to our dieticians and nutritionists. Available services include a BIA testing for muscle mass, fat, and water in the tissue as well as an individual health eating habit survey. FFLN, Inc. also provides food safety tips which are crucial to HIV/AIDS clients who often have to alter their diet to tolerate their medicine and maximize their strength and overall health.
