Sustainable agricultural practices can produce food in ways that protect our water, soil, and wildlife habitat—all while helping us tackle the problem of global warming. One of the best federal programs in last year’s Food and Farm Bill, the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), was created to reward farmers and ranchers who responsibly tend their land in these ways.

Now the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking feedback on this program. You can help ensure that applicants who have practiced responsible land management for years aren’t discriminated against and ensure that CSP funds go first to farmers and ranchers who make real strides toward protecting our shared resources. Send a letter to the USDA in support of a strong CSP today!
