Resign Sepp Blatter. For the Game. For the World.

Resign Sepp Blatter. For the Game. For the World.
The Issue
As an international organization with millions of fans, FIFA has the ability to impact attitudes toward racism, sexism and discrimination for the better. Despite this tremendous potential, FIFA Chairman Joseph “Sepp” Blatter has consistently either made light of these issues, as in his recent remarks about the nonexistence of racism, or worsened them through his comments about female footballers and gay football fans. Chairman Blatter is the wrong man to represent an organization that prides itself on the ability to use football “as a symbol of hope and integration.”
As the recent FIFA corruption allegations demonstrate, he is also incapable of honestly leading an organization responsible for a sport that means so much to so many. His corrupt dealings have brought a blight onto the game of football that can only be removed with his resignation from the organization...or arrest.
The petition calls for the immediate resignation of Chairman Blatter. Until this resignation occurs, this petition calls on all FIFA sponsors to revoke their sponsorship and boycott FIFA. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/partners/index.html

Sepp Blatter on racism: "During a match you may make a movement towards somebody or you may say something to somebody who is not exactly looking like you, but at the end of the day it is forgotten," Blatter said. "Racism is if there are spectators or, outside the field of play, there are movements to discrimination, but, on the field of play, I deny that there is racism."
Sepp Blatter on women: "Let the women play in more feminine clothes like they do in volleyball," he said. "They could, for example, have tighter shorts. Female players are pretty, if you excuse me for saying so, and they already have some different rules to men - such as playing with a lighter ball. That decision was taken to create a more female aesthetic, so why not do it in fashion?"

Sepp Blatter on gay football fans during the future 2022 World Cup in Qatar: "I would say they should refrain from any sexual activities," he said.

FIFA’s Promise from FIFA.com:
For the Game. For the World.
The world is a place rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity, but also one where many are still deprived of their basic rights. FIFA now has an even greater responsibility to reach out and touch the world, using football as a symbol of hope and integration.
Only with the unwavering dedication of every FIFA team member, every member association and every business partner can football in all its forms contribute to achieving FIFA's goals at a high level by protecting standards, encouraging competition and promoting solidarity in the world game.
For the Game. For the World.
