The 14th amendment was started after the abolishment of slavery to guarantee citizenship to the children of freed slaves. This amendment serves no purpose now except to allow those from other countries to come and have children in this country. All the talk on immigration reform should start with the elimination of this amendment. Congress and the President should take action on this.
