There is an odd law on Tn 's books making it MANDATORY for parents/guardians to remain 24 hours a day during a minor child's stay at a Tn. hospital.this only raises the stress level for parentsalready stressed out to the max worried about their child.most parents are there as often as they can what with their other obligations-i-other children ,their jobs etc.i think this outdated law should be removed asap.the hospital is staffed.they do not provide a bed for parents -we know we have sat up trying to rest in chairs....please sign our petition ,thank you nancy curtin
rescind or remove Tn state law requiring parents/guardians/relatives to stay 24 /7 during minors st
Dear Representative
To whom it may concern,i am writing this petition in hope that the current mandatory law requiring parents/guardins to remain with minor child during their hospital stay.we feel this adds another level of stress on parents that are already worried sick because their child has been admitted to the hospital in the first place.this mandatory Tn. law should be taken off the Tn law booksbecause the majority of us are 2 income family with other children at home.it is just an unnecessary burden placed on a family ,trying to figure out how they can possibly manage keeping their jobs, using up sick days and more so in a single-parent home.please help us and sign our petition.we all love our children and are at the hospital as much as humanly possible but we still have to work and care for our family and this makes it very difficult.thank you nancy curtin
