Addendum: Your second whopping mortgage escrow shortfall spread as of late last month (April 2012) IS DOING US IN!!!!!!!!! You know damn well that it's impossible to predict how much or when municipalities and/or county government property taxes will gouge homeowners, and you are taking advantage of this fact by charging repeated escrow shortfall spreads -- in our case, $5,200 damn dollars!
Remove all escrow shortfall spreads AND give us a waiver, so we can get back on our feet. This petition also covers fed gov't for not allowing Freddie Mac loans to request escrow waivers.

My husband Charles and I love our home in Seven Hills, Ohio. We purchased it four years ago and diligently made our mortgage payments each month to our bank, JPMorgan Chase.
But things turned ugly about 2.5 years ago. That's when - after facing financial hardship caused by the economic downturn - we first applied for a mortgage loan modification, which we were elibigible to receive by federal law through HAMP and/or the Save the Dream programs.
Will you join us in calling on Chase to grant us a loan modification?
As an eligible co-homeowner that's been caught up in a never-ending cycle of modification request paperwork with JPMorgan Chase, I believe that the super mortgage processor (and federal bailout recipient) should be held accountable for keeping its promise to homeowners and the federal government. Many millions are affected by this one lender who has forced hundreds of thousands of otherwise eligible homeowners into foreclosure and/or crippling debt.
JPMorgan Chase as a mortgage processor has resorted to highly unethical, and in some cases virtually illegal, tactics to deny homeowners loan modifications that they are perfectly eligible to receive.
Chase bank deliberately forced us past the 60-day application deadline. They've used bait-and-switch tactics between different counselors to delay and confuse us. And they've put my husband and I both through a dizzying combination of both phone calls and written correspondences which never match up and keep us guessing. The staff assigned to our case are often mysteriously unavailable staff and their voicemail is always full.
JPMorgan Chase keeps changing rules, changing guards, and keeping us waiting. Our most recent incident with Chase was reported on by a local news station. After our city deceitfully and without warning amortized 30% interest to our new sewer tax assessment, which caused our escrow to jump suddenly, Chase then added to the crisis two-fold by slapping us with a $222 shortfall spread, making our mortgage jump 45 percent. And guess what? Chase still refuses to grant us a loan modification.
I am a hard-working member of my community in Seven Hills, Ohio. I have successfully helped resolve a number of controversial conflicts within our community, including animal and wildlife protections, and have raised awareness through citizen journalism and activism regarding some of the most pressing political and economic problems currently facing our community. I am an organic gardener and a certified wildlife habitat steward. All I want is to remain in my home.
MORE Escrow Spreads Crippling Us!
Greetings,
Dear Chase Bank:
Remove all escrow shortfall spreads AND give us a waiver, so we can get back on our feet. Freddie Mac homeowners cannot get escrow waivers!
Therefore, this petition also covers fed gov't for not allowing Freddie Mac loans to request escrow waivers.

Seven Hills, Ohio never told us they'd capitalize interest by FIFTY PERCENT on our sewer assessment; it caused escrow shortfall AND spread. Now, JP Morgan Chase Your Tail is charging us ANOTHER spread. We now are paying the evil giant over $5,000 in escrow shortfall spreads alone. We had a surplus before the city screwed us, but we never anticipated they'd captilize 50% -- totaling $1,600,000 on 100 homeowners during worst economic recession -- so it caused a shortfall; yes, I have a separate petition for this, too.
JP MORGAN CHASE YOUR TAIL IS CAUSING A TAILSPIN IN WHICH WE CAN NEVER CATCH UP, PREDICT, ANTICIPATE, PLAN FOR, ETC. THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE FACT THAT WE ARE IN ESCROW HELL BECAUSE OF SEVEN "BILLS" OHIO MISCONDUCT AND NEGLIGENCE.
Chase also refuses to put in writing a request for a lump sum pymt. from Ohio's Restoring Stability program to help us.
MAKE THEM STOP! And sign the one below, too, which sends a message to Seven "Bills" Ohio for its midsconduct and negligence -- FIFTY DAMN PERCENT INTEREST. WTF!

I am appalled to learn of Chase bank's treatment of Ohio homeowner Lucy McKernan and her husband Charles. After three years of torturing Ms. McKernan in the loan modification process, it's time that you prioritized her case and found a permanent solution for this family.
This couple is an outstanding part of the Seven Hills community. They're also responsible homeowners who are simply seeking a solution to a problem that your bank helped create. It was because of an escrow miscalculation that McKernan's monthly mortgage bill unexpectedly shot up 45% last year. The city's mistake resulted in adding a whopping $222 shortfall spread for this already financially-strained couple's mortgage payments. When will Chase bank stop creating more problems for these homeowners and working with homeowners to find a solution?
It's time to make Lucy McKernan a priority for your bank. We are calling on JPMorgan Chase to assign Lucy and her husband a single point of contact with your bank, and quickly work to approve this family for a loan modification that keeps them in their home.
