According to Grace from Are Women Human, "Hugo Schwyzer lied for several years about his attempt to kill a woman - on one occasion, falsely describing his attempt to kill his girlfriend and himself as a only a suicide attempt that “accidentally” endangered her."

Relevant Magazine, a site that claims to promote "God, Life, and Progressive Culture," recently published an article by Schwyzer. Several people who knew of Schwyzer's past objected and commented on Relevant's facebook page and on the article itself. Several of these comments have been deleted and some commenters have been blocked from leaving further comments.

Relevant Magazine is not only publishing posts by a former abuser, but silencing any voices that inform people of this abusers past. By silencing these voices, they are sending the message that they do not care about the concerns of survivors of abuse. They are perpetuating a cycle of abuse enabling by refusing to hold Schwyzer accountable for his past.

As a fellow progressive Christian, the creator of this petition urges all those who care about well-being of abuse survivors to ask Relevant Magazine to disclose Schwyzer's past before publishing future articles by him.
