The American Medical Association's report on marijuana,On deaf ears or not?

Mr. President,

The AMA submitted a report on the medical use of marijuana to the Obama Administration back in Oct.-Nov.'09'. In it AMA urges the federal government to reconsider their stance on marijuana as a Class 1 drug. Meaning the AMA has publicly admitted their original report given in the 1920's is no longer creditable. The federal government used the views of the AMA in the 20's to make cannabis illegal in all forms. The views of the AMA in the 20's is what the government based their push to get marijuana classified as Class 1.

It has been 6 months since the AMA has publicly admitted they were incorrect in their original stance and the only thing WE THE PEOPLE have heard from the Obama Administration is that the federal government will not harass patients and caregivers who are conducting affairs according to state laws. Nothing more nothing less. This is NOT ENOUGH!!!

We The People want to hear more from the Obama Adminisrtation on what is being done to help those suffering from their pain medications.

WE need to hear that the AMA's report did NOT fall on deaf ears.We want to know what is being done in accordance with the AMA report.

What scientific research is being done by the federal government to investigate the evidence of benefitcial uses of marijuana?

As stated by the AMA marijuana has benefital qualities and deserves more research.
