I first came across Robin Maxwell's blog while participating in a fundraising "contest" through sixdegrees.org. I was raising money for a legal aid organization, Bet Tzedek Legal Services, and Robin was raising money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Blue Ridge Chapter.
Robin Maxwell is a 38-year-old mother of two who was diagnosed with MS on January 18, 2007. Since that day, Robin been a dedicated advocate for finding a cure. To date, she has raised nearly $30,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Blue Ridge Chapter through sixdegrees.org, which includes a $10,000 grant from Kevin Bacon. Furthermore, she established her own Perfect Health foundation, founded a clothing line (profits benefit lifesaving medical research for a range of ailments from cancer to multiple sclerosis), and is a speaker at MS events. Robin is a genuinely remarkable lady.
I urge everyone who considers themselves an advocate for MS research to read her blog at least once a week. Your life will be changed forever, and you will truly be inspired to continue the fight against MS. You can find Robin Maxwell's blog at:
