Purpose of Petition

The purpose of this Petition is to gage the interest of the public that many individuals are in agreement that there needs to be an organization that collects and records the accomplishments of individuals and organizations that have contributed to the R&B & Gospel music industry. In the past there has been an interest but for various reasons have not been successful in establishing such an organization. We understand that R&B & Gospel music has birthed many other music genres and has not been given the just recognition that it deserves. There are many organizations and award shows that honor the accomplishments but none collect the artifacts and history that other music museums do. We are seeking as many indivduals' signatures that are in agreement that this history needs to be recorded and preserved for future generations.

• DEVELOP SELF-ESTEEM & COMMUNITY PRIDE
• MEMORIALIZE GREAT RHYTHM & BLUES AND GOSPEL LEGENDS SUCH AS: JAMES BROWN, MICHAEL JACKSON FOR R&B.
MAHALIA JACKSON AND THE REVEREND JAMES CLEVELAND FOR GOSPEL AND PREACHERS.
