Scores of young Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi female guest workers have been sexually abused, repeatedly raped and tortured, over the course of years, while sewing clothing for Wal-Mart, Hanes, Target, Macy's, Lands' End and other labels at the Classic Factory in Jordan.

Recently, victims of this sexual abuse have bravely come forward to describe their ordeals, detailing the brutality and ruthlessness of the factory managers. Many of these women have been promptly deported.

While activists are calling on these major companies to leverage their power to stop these atrocities, the companies have shown little interest in taking action.

As a passionate and dedicated advocate for women’s rights and empowerment and gender equity, we are asking Queen Rania al Abdullah of Jordan to use her position as Queen of Jordan to stop these atrocities. Women from around Jordan and the Middle East look to Queen Rania for leadership and representation. As an avid Twitter user with over 1.6 million followers, one simple Tweet from the Queen denouncing the abuse and calling for positive change could be the spark that puts a stop to them.

So please, Queen Rania, stand with these women in the Classics Factory in Jordan. Help give them a voice and the safety and protection they need.
