A FEW MISSOURI LEGISLATORS ARE ABOUT TO QUIETLY PASS A BILL THAT WILL EFFECTIVELY CLOSE ALL OF MISSOURI'S GENTLEMEN'S CLUBS. WHETHER OR NOT YOU FREQUENT THESE ESTABLISHMENTS, THIS SHOULD BE A CONCERN TO ALL MISSOURIANS.

PARTICULARLY IN THIS ECONOMIC CLIMATE, PUTTING COUNTLESS PEOPLE OUT OF WORK, LOSING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN STATE AND LOCAL TAX REVENUE AND NEGATIVELY EFFECTING FUTURE CONVENTION AND TOURISM REVENUE IS NOT THE DIRECTION MISSOURI SHOULD BE HEADING.

Greetings,

I believe that passing the laws stated in SB586 will greatly effect Missouri. Which in most ways I'm sure you are aware of, but would like to bring to your attention again. Not only will it put many Missourians out of work, but will make Missouri loose millions of dollars in much need tax money. If these laws were to go through it would shut down most of Missouri strip clubs. Which the goal for that would be to cut down on drugs and prostitution. I see it making it worse, because without those jobs to go to anymore, people will be going to other forms of income, which would be selling drugs, or many women would go to prostitution to make ends meet since they can't dance. Not only do I see it hurting Missouri in a negative way financially. I see the crime of drugs and prostitution becoming unbelievablly worse. It would also devastate so many people. Its already hard enough to get a job right now in this economy, can you imagine shutting down thousands of jobs with this bill.
