Surely, you know that, when the Patriot Act was passed in a climate of post 9/11 fear, some of our Fourth Amendment rights were swept away.  Passage of HR 3845 and a strengthened version of S 1692 will restore some of America's lost constitutional protections.  Currently, the F.B.I. may secretly obtain bookstore and library records of people not even under suspicion.  All of this is done without judicial review if the government merely deems the information vaguely relevant to an ongoing investigation.  Bringing laws back in line with American values is a legislative priority.  Please,support HR 3845 and a stronger S 1692, letting US citizens read again; without Big Brother watching, now.
