Before civilization, before anything, who was here? Based on your beliefs, it could be anything. Adam and Eve, dinosaurs, dragons. But one thing that was here, that is backed up on every belief, is animals. They got along just well on their own, ate, slept, communicated, and reproduced. Then man came, "domesticated" them, and made them pets. And now they are starting to do this with Lions, Tigers, Monkeys, and other wild animals? How is this even legal? You don't see someone taking you from your family and making you a pet, so why do it to them? Animals belong in the wild, where they have hundreds of thousands of years of ancestors, not in a cage, and not in someone's backyard where all they have is a bowl of food and water, and a patch of grass. For one, it is more expensive for the person, covering special vet bills, maintaining proper licenses, food and toys. It is also more unhealthy. No offense, but if you expect a tiger to pee in a litter box, you are crazy. If you do not take care of them, it will lead to health problems for the animal and yourself. It is also unhealthy for the neighborhood. What if your pet gets out? Everyone will be fearful of it, more or less depending on the animal. It is one thing raising them for their low numbers in the wild and helping them multiply their numbers. But having them dressed up in clothes and diapers with a leash on, what is this?
