Preventing Another Gulf Oil Spill

The Issue

It is my understanding the the federal government was informed of mechanical integrity, instability and leak problems in the Deepwater Horizon well on March 10, 2010, 40 days before the explosion.

This means that this accident was perhaps avoidable. Thereafter, the clean up was grossly mismanaged. Government incompetence should not be overlooked.

Please include a criminal investigation of the federal government's involvement in this man-made environmental disaster and put those most responsible for the explosion and spill behind bars.
