Companies should appreciate their customer's loyalty, and not change rules that were originally set for customer retention. This is commonly called a bait-and-switch.

Verizon Communications CFO Fran Shammo says "A lot of our 3G base is on unlimited. When they migrate off 3G they will have to go to data share. That is beneficial to us." Beneficial, because they will make even more money. Data share means that a family can share one data plan, but it is tiered, and they have yet to release pricing details. Expect 4G pricing, starting at $50 and up.

Tell Verizon to keep grandfathered plans, and respect their customers. Otherwise, we will switch to another carrier for good.
