There is strong evidence that the U.S government played a major role in the overthrow of the democratically-elected president, Salvador Allende Gossens, on September 11, 1973(Chile's 9/11). Any such involvement would be a betrayal of everything our country stands for. And the overthrow of Allende's government was the
beginning of a chain of events that made life far worse for working people and the poor around the world and in the United States itself.

President Obama, denounce this barbaric act and make it clear that such disgraceful actions should NEVER be repeated by our country and any branches of its government, and make it clear that we will never again attempt to force any other countries to reshape their economic systems in such a way that profit is placed before human dignity and human need as the main priority of the system.
