Obama's promise to change the financial system from one that works for derivative traders to one that works for the majority of Americans was broken the moment he appointed Timothy Geithner to head the Treasury and Larry Summers to be his chief economic adviser. Americans need someone who will stand up to big banks, hedge fund and derivative traders and those engaged in high frequency trading to push for and implement transformative measures that will change the culture on Wall Street. We also need a regulator at the helm of the SEC to actually investigate this widespread fraud and abuse.
