The city of Brentwood, California with the assistance of The Department of Veterans Affairs and Politicians: Congressman Henry Waxman, U. S. Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer have locked the gates of The Los Angeles National Veterans Home.

There is currently a public dog park for the residents of Brentwood. A rose garden purported to be for Veterans, but the day it was dedicated no Veterans were allowed into the dedication. Also there is a public community park, public golf course, public parking lots, used car storage, private school grounds, carnivals, entertainment, etc.

Los Angeles has 20,000+ homeless and hungry veterans of all ages.
