Preserve the Roadless Rule

The Obama Administration announced a one-year timeline in making final decisions on the Roadless Rule - a rule passed by President Clinton putting 58 million acres of national forests off limits to logging, roadbuilding, and other destructive practices.

In the interim, Sec. of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will have decision making power over any proposals to develop this land. Use the form below to send the Secretary a request to deny all such proposals.

Sec. Vilsack,

Now that you have final say over any road building and logging plans within the 'roadless areas' protected by President Clinton, I'm writing to ask that you deny all logging requests within these areas until a final protection plan is crafted.

Sincerely,
