Provide Emergency Autism Services for Ontario Families in Crisis.

Provide Emergency Autism Services for Ontario Families in Crisis.
The Issue
"I want a place to go to, in an emergency, when my son is in crisis. When his meltdowns become so violent that we can’t keep him safe, we need somewhere where he can be safe for a short period (one or two weeks, max) until he can be either stabilized or placed somewhere else." - Laura Kirby-Mcintosh, Mother of Cliff Mcintosh, a 13 year old with Autism.
Cliff has become increasingly violent over the past few months.
He has threatened his sister with a knife.
He has pushed his father through a wall.
He has repeatedly attacked his mother.
After two separate hospitalizations in the last month and no viable progress, the family have been pushed to their limit.
By signing this petition, we the undersigned directly call upon the Government of Ontario to immediately provide emergency support for the Mcintosh's and families like theirs in times of crisis.
