Fukushima reactor #4 is leaning and is said to have a seismic rating of 0. Yes, that's zero, as in NONE - even a small earthquake could collapse the building, destroying the containment/cooling pool on the 5th floor above the reactor where at least 1100 spent fuel rods currently reside. This problem is severe, but wouldn't be urgent except that according to a study published in February in the European Geosciences Union's journal Solid Earth, the fault that lies only miles away from the Dai-ichi plant is now overdue for a quake.

If that quake happens before those rods are moved the Northern hemisphere will be decimated, starting with the West coast of the United States.
