Please make all plastic recyclable

Please make all plastic recyclable
The Issue
We the undersigned do firmly request that you make all plastic manufacturers to produce their product in such a manner that all of it would be able to be recycled. We are aware that there are several different types of plastic out there and not all of it can be recycled. What we are wondering is why? Are you aware that there is enough plastic thrown away in the United States in one year alone to circle the Earth four times? Four time around the Earth, that my friends needs to stop. One way to help reduce this horrible impact that we are having on our fair planet is to make sure that every plastic product that is out there is recyclable. If it was mandatory by law for such products to at least have the chance to be recycled than this would be a step in the right direction. Out of 100% of the plastic produced in the United States every year only 25% of this plastic is recycled, the other 75% is thrown in the dump. However is the other 75% was recycled it would save 1 billion gallons of oil, and 44 cubic yards of landfill space. This would help to greatly reduce our trash output as a nation. When a person goes through the trouble of recycling it is very aggravating to be aware that there are some things that just won't get recycled, and sure it makes for good crafts but who has the room to keep all that trash in their house all the time.
Another reason that it would ge a great help to the environment is a lot of the plastic garabge ends up in the Pacific Ocean in a place now know as the Great Pacific Garabge Patch. There are 6 lbs of plastic for every one pound of plankton in this area. Right now it is the size of Texas and is only getting bigger every day. I for one do not want to walk out my door and have to kick garabge to the side to get to where I need to go. We have to do what is right and one thing that could be done that is simple to to make sure that all products are recyclable and reusable. It would do a great service to the nation and the planet. If it takes creating new products to package materials in than we could do that, it is not like the United States can't make stuff. We know the knowledge and resources are out there and are willing to do our part by putting it in a recycling bin and making sure not to dump it on the ground. Please unsure that if we place our plastic in a recycling bin that it is able to be recycled. Plastic takes 1,000 years to break down and if the products made are not able to be recycled this just causes it to sit there and build and build.
We understand that you have a lot to consider and many letters to read. Please consider this before you just throw this to the side to grab the next letter. This is a very serious matter that is only going to continue to grow and grow until we have no where to throw the trash that is not recyclable we ran out of room. This is not a future we want, one where trash has over run the planet.
Below is a link to a list of the number of plastic that aren't recyclable thank you for your time and please change this for it is in your power to do so.
