East Nashvillians don't want small business owners to go to jail. They want them to thrive. The SP states" Compliance with the SP provisions is not required for the utilization of existing nonconforming structures provided there is no expansion (this means parking is allowed in the front of our building). According to the planning dept website the SP was created because in recent years, development professionals in Nashville/Davidson County have called for additional flexibility to create developments that meet market demands, address neighborhood concerns and are suitable to the surroundings. For the developer, the SP District has the highest level of flexibility for the design of the development according to the planning dept website. Show us that this is true and approve The Dog Spot site plan.
