We have witnessed the brutality of the Bahraini police forces over the past few weeks. 

The UK National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) has an ongoing relationship of training with the Bahraini police force.  At a time when the UK is discussing an arms review to despotic regimes, this is a targetted message to the CEO of the NPIA, with a copy to the Independent newspaper in the UK showing them how the Bahraini police force is behaving.  It is hoped that the exposure of the association of the NPIA with such brutality will be sufficient to cause them to distance themselves.  Indirectly, this may increase the pressure on the Bahraini authorities to scale back its repression and aggressive handling of protestors.
