Please Don't Blindly Judge Single Mothers

The Issue

I pledge to not judge single mothers, especially ones that are young.  I don't know their situation, and cannot just assume they were promiscuous or naive.  I pledge to help make the things that are out of reach for them (college costs, stable day care, etcetera) easier for them to attain.  I pledge to help the government crack down on fathers who don't pay their child support and make the punishments for severe for repeat offenders.  I pledge to judge them as a person, and not as a statistic.

I want him to have a world where homelessness is eradicated, where children aren't starving to death, where everyone has access to affordable health care and clean drinking water. I want him to grow up and inherit a world that has hope and believes that if we come together, anything is possible. I know that right now these ideals are merely dreams, but it's up to us right now to make them a reality for the next generation.
