Dear PhaseONE,

We, your faithful and loyal customers to your RAW software conversion tool, "CaptureONE PRO," are asking for **full** support of the Adobe-created digital negative file format (DNG).

Here's why: even though CaptureONE PRO (C1PRO) support the DNG format, the software does not fully "support" the DNG format. Certain tools and functionality we found useful in C1PRO will not function on a DNG file. For example: take a native CR2 or NEF file. Use the Adobe DNG Converter found at: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.displayTab2.html#downloads.

Next, take the native CR2 or NEF file into C1PRO and run the Chromatic Aberration or the Distortion Correction tools in the collective Lens Tool Panel. It works. Now, take the DNGs, converted from the native CR2/NEF file into C1PRO and repeat the procedure. You will find that C1PRO does not treat the DNG RAW format equally.

Our personal and professional reasons for not utilizing the native RAW format of our cameras is/are our prerogative. We are not asking C1PRO to extravagantly code for a magic button that will turn our RAW images into instant Annie Leibovitz, Paolo Roversi, Guiliano Bekor, Peter Eastway, or [insert your favorite famous photographer here].

What WE are IMPLORING is to give us, your loyal and faithful customers, the ability to make our RAW files processed within CaptureONE PRO, "what the world's best photography is made of."
