Ever walk into a large chain store or pet shop that sells Betta Fish? Have you ever seen the super poor condition that they live in until they are sold? They live in very dirty water, filled with their waste, often times displaying signs for fin rot, parasites and and many other diseases.

This shows that these stores do not actually care about the actual wellness of the fish, and just want the money for them in any condition. It puts them in the same realm of animal cruelty, and neglect as dog & cat mills! We need to stand up to these stores and tell them that they are wrong for being so cruel in their treatment of these beautiful fish!
