Stop selling rabbits for Easter

The Issue

Every year Petland Discounts in the NYC area offers a sale on rabbits for Easter. These poor creatures are often purchased on impulse for children who soon grow bored of the novelty. Rabbits require special care which most people are unable or unwilling to provide and they end up abandoned or worse. Petland, if you are really the best a pet can get, stop doing this!

“Petland Discounts does not offer a sale on rabbits during the Easter season. We understand that rabbits can become an impulse purchase, especially around this holiday. Instead, Petland Discounts has a policy to only sell rabbits with complete set-ups for the weeks before and after Easter. This is to ensure that the rabbit will be provided with all of its necessities. Petland Discounts also has many postings stating that rabbits are a commitment that must be thoroughly considered before purchasing.”
