Greenland has been granted a humpback whale quota for "aboriginal subsistence whaling" at the recent IWC meeting in Morocco. Greenland does commercial whaling, as the whale meat they get for "aboriginal subsistence" ends up in supermarkets, fancy restaurants, hotels, where it's sold at top prices to wealthy customers and tourists (instead of being consumed by the Inuit community).

The Greenlanders will start killing humpbacks in September. Take action now, and ask the IWC to cancel the humpback quota, and to investigate the real aboriginal needs of Greenland.

In addition to the minke and fin whale quotas, Greenlanders hunt more than 3.000 smaller cetaceans (not counted and not protected by the IWC).
