Wasting to much tax payer funded money on irresponsible pet ownership, ignorant managerial decisions to allow pets to come in they cannot treat to sit for days in pain only to be euthanize, a public funded shelter should provide low cost basic vet services as it does and cut the cost of owner surrenders only providing assistance for lost, found, wild, or endangered animals thus reducing the population and need for staffing and eliminating the need to euthanize any animal. Also allowing for areas of quarantine and reducing the contamination of diseases. All owner surrenders should be directed to go to a rescue or non kill shelter such as north Miami humane society and forced to pay a penalty for irresponsibility creating consequences for their actions and a means to afford proper vet care. All pets and animals that may come to this shelter as lost, found, wild, or endangered that may be injured beyond their means of care providable should be directly transferred to another facility that can give them immediate emergency medical vet care, not made to wait and suffer for days only to be killed, that is torture.
