We, the undersigned, want the right to choose for ourselves how we monitor our breast health. Breast thermography has validity when correctly performed and correctly presented. Because it offers additional information not accessed through mammography, thermography’s use as an adjunctive imaging tool is important.
Moreover, we have a right to have access to non-invasive technology that research has shown beneficial to making health decisions.
With our signatures, we want the press and health authorities to recognize that thermography is science-based. We are aware of disinformation by the media and some “experts” who are misrepresenting thermography and misleading the public.
We would like our health benefit providers to cover the cost of this safe and non-invasive procedure, which we know saves lives and in the long run will save the benefit providers a great deal of money.
Last, we urge the creation of regulations to support the use of breast thermography, so that this technology is recognized by health regulators as a viable and adjunctive test that is indispensable to women's health.
Please sign this petition. Every woman must have access to this invaluable screening tool. We need to focus on PREVENTION in addition to ‘the cure’ and ‘research’.
