We, residents, workers, and business owners of Oakland, declare that we are of the 99%.  We support and identify with the goals and spirit of Occupy Wall Street.  We are from every district and neighborhood of Oakland.  We are united that a fundamental pledge of Occupy Oakland shall be an unwavering commitment to peace and nonviolence in our City.  We love Oakland and do not tolerate acts of violence or property destruction committed in our name.  Such actions are not related to the goals of Occupy Wall Street or Occupy Oakland, nor are they in the interests of the 99%.  We urge mass support of this petition by all of Oakland and friends everywhere to enable Occupy Oakland to move forward together for peaceful nonviolent actions in opposition to the greed, corruption, and social and financial inequities perpetrated by the 1%.
