On October 21,2011 at 7:30 P.M. on Applegate rd in Placer County a 17 year old teen was driving while under the influence and he lost control of the vehichle and crashed into a tree, killing three people and injuring himself and one other. He is responsible for the deaths and hurt of many family members, but he isn't the only one that is responsible. A woman named Susan, she is a former CPS worker, allowed minors to drink at her house. She claimed it is a safer alternative then them drinking somewhere else. After allowing them to drink, she then allowed them to take her vehicle and go get some friends. She handed over her keys, knowing that they had been drinking and if that isn't bad enough, she allowed a 17 year old who had been drinking to drive the car. All of this led up to a accident that claimed three lives and left two others injured. This whole thing could have been avoided/prevented if this woman would never have allowed underage drinking and driving or drinking and driving of any age. I think it is important that the people who are truly responsible deal with the consequences of their actions. If susan never allowed this kind of behavior and took the right actions then everyone that was affected by this accident wouldn't half to grieve the loss and lives would have been saved.
