Stop telling authors what they can and cannot write!

The Issue

Authors are in danger. Paypal is threating to deactive Smashwords' account unless they take down all titles containing bestiality, rape or incest. The problem with this is that they're asking Smashwords to censor LEGAL fiction. Regardless of how someone views the topics of rape, bestiality, and incest, these topics are pervasive in mainstream fiction. Paypal cannot tell authors what they can write and what readers can read. Fiction is fantasy. It's not real. It's LEGAL fiction. Not only does this affect erotica authors, but indie authors too. It affects them because they are the ones who push the boundries of fiction. They publish without the "tradtional publisher" that lend them legitimacy. They may not stop at indie and erotica authors. This is unconstitutional. They cannot tell authors what they can and cannot write and they can't tell us readers what we can and cannot read! Please sign and help save our authors.
