The republicans who have been voted out of their positions have stated openly to the press that they have no intention of passing anything, that they feel no need since they are leaving office. They have also stated that they wish to extend tax cuts for the rich--a move with will add 680 billion to our already growing deficit--while cutting Unemployment.

In the simplest terms, they are robbing the poor to feed the rich, and doing so during the coldest time of the year. As bills go unpaid, across the nation families will lose electricity, heat, and even their homes. Children will receive no Christmas. All so the rich, who can afford all these things, can keep a tax cut they do not need and our nation cannot afford.

This is the delimma both House and Congress are dealing with right now. This is the leverage those in favor of the tax cuts are using--the lives of our most vulnerable American citizens.

Stand up and say NO to these abuses. Make your voice heard. Tell Congress, the House, the President, and anyone who will listen that you will not stand for this. Stand for the spirit of giving this season and give thousands of families the gratest gift of all--heat, food, and Christmas for their children.
