My adult sister, Nancy Lyons, went missing June 2002. There were no laws for missing adults and little to no assistance to families during acute phase of missing. In 2007 Molly's Law was passed in Indiana giving clear information to law enforcement on who is "high risk missing" and what steps law enforcement should take. Currently this law has no oversight, accountablitiy or ongoing education for first responders. There have been several cases sited in which the law was not followed. We need Indiana to pass a law mandating yearly education for "High Risk Missing Adults" that will result in "high risk missing" are put in the national data base as missing and provide opportunity for early intervention. Every missing adult is someone's child.
