OSHA Protection on Airplanes
OSHA Protection on Airplanes
The Issue
The 112th Congress has reintroduced a new FAA Reauthorization Bill, but Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and others would like to strip OSHA protections out of the Bill. Without proper standards that address sanitation, clean air, and cabin temperatures standards, there is a health risk to anyone who travels on an airplane. The FAA Reauthorization Bill with OSHA language will finally provide these protections.
The FAA Reauthorization Act S. 223 must include OSHA protections that will provide basic health and safety standards for all people who work and travel on airplanes, passengers and Flight Attendants. Every time we step on an airplane we are exposed to safety and health issues. Issues that will be address in this bill with OSHA providing basic protections for all who travel. Please sign this, stand with us and ask your elected officials to support this Bill so we can be assured that this important provision will remain in the current legislation. Don’t allow basic protections for passengers and Flight Attendants to be stripped from the bill.
