Someone should support this petition because numerous OTR drivers die every year be it from an accident to simply being found dead in their truck. Most unattended deaths for truck drivers are ruled as cardiac arrest or heart attack with no inspection of the truck, weather conditions , lot conditions to rule out CO exposure. This is my campaign for a national study to determine if CO is shortening the life expectancy of OTR drivers . It is also my campaing to see to it that companies should be required to track all drivers even on weekends and must search for a driver if a load is not delivered within hour of being notified. My husband died on 3/26/2012 in the sleeper of his truck , idling with the heater on . No one claims jurisdcition and his company ignored request for an independant review of the truck. Please join me to insure laws are changed so that companies are required to bear the expense of bringing a driver home. They are not away for vacation they are at work.
