On April 6, 2011 Dr. Edwin Lyman, Senior Scientist, Union of Concerned Scientists testified before the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, U.S. House of Representatives.

His testimony "The U.S. Government's Response to the Nuclear Power Plant Incident in Japan"  is startingly clear and should be taken seriously and his recommendations implemented immediately.

I urge Chairman Stearns and the other members of the Subcommitee to implement, without hesitation, the steps outlined in Dr. Lyman's testimony to help ensure that the dire event that happened in Japan does not happen in the United States.
