Considering the health and financial benefits of fresh eggs from your own small flock of backyard chickens, we are asking the North Huntingdon Township commissioners to pass the proposed ordinance of allowing homeowners to keep up to eight backyard chickens on lots of more than 7500 feet. Fresh eggs not only taste better but are scientifically proven to be healthier for you. Chicken keeping in many cities and towns across the country have become a huge success, bringing neighborhoods together and showing the people opposed to it that their fears were unfounded.
